Choosing a Wedding Caterer

When it comes to wedding food, there’s no single right way to feed your guests. You can choose elegant plated service, family-style dining, a buffet, food stations, BBQ, pizza, tacos, or even a favourite local restaurant. The best option is the one that fits your wedding style, your guests, and your budget.

One of the biggest advantages of choosing your own caterer is the flexibility to make the meal feel personal. Love Indian food? Serve it! Have a favourite Italian restaurant you visit all the time? Why not bring that experience to your wedding? Even a more casual meal can feel special when it’s thoughtfully presented with beautiful tableware, linens, and a little creativity. At the end of the day, your guests are far more likely to remember how delicious the food was and how much they enjoyed themselves than whether it was served as a formal plated dinner.

Whatever you choose, ask your caterer exactly what’s included in the price. Servers, dishes, cutlery, setup, cleanup, delivery, rentals, gratuity, and taxes can all affect the final cost. Most importantly, don’t feel pressured to choose what you think a wedding meal should be. Choose food you love, serve it in a way that feels like you, and make it part of what makes your wedding uniquely yours.
